Depends on their budgets over the years...how much training they were able to afford.

The Russians are also not able to afford a lot of training and exercises for their carrier now...but theirs is a much more modern carrier and it is of the same class ship as the Varyag.

I believe the PLAN will get much more help and milage from the Russian advisors...but I am sure they will use whatever expertise they can get to help boost their own learning curve, South American, French, Indian, etc..

Also the traffic at the deck to me seems not to be so different betw. STOAR and Catapult launching.

Well, the Argentines and the Brazillians do have some carrier arrested landing and catapault launch experience...but it is limited when compared to the US...or, for that matter, to the French
well I was refering their political ideologyes and opinions. Hard to imagine somebody fighting decades against all kinds of Guevera-followers and sat in some junta could suddenly help openly communist nation to wage (possible) war agaisnt everything that they have believed for their whole life...

From an ideological perspective, I see your point and agree. But not all are as committed and some of those can and will be be bought. It has always been that way...on both sides of the arguement.

Well of those souht american countryes, only Brazil have nowadays a carrier and they are also still learning the use of jetfighters onboard (we all know the ridicilous struggle between brazil's navy and airforce about whose gonna fly those planes..) so i doupt that china could benefit greatly from brazils input...

Argentinia and Brazil hold exercises for some years, including using the carriers of both states - now Argentias naval air arm use the new brazil carrier, in the past brazil also operated a helo carrier and brazil pilots used the former argentinian carrier.
And now Brazil, Argenitinia and Venezuela build the axis of popular socialistic gov. in Southamerica.

yes, but as i mentioned, Brazilian navy has operated jets for only few years now and as more and more time passes after the deactiviation of 25 De Mayo, i severly doupt that Argentinian government aint going to waste more money to carrier airarm whit no carrier...

Russia is offcourse totally diferent thing...I mena, Kuznetsovs senior officers have to retire someday, dont they ?

Gollevainen, you can find nice pics of Brazil's new Sao Paulo launching its new A4Ms..and of every other carrier existing on earth today...at the following link:

The site also has links to each carrier's home page (when available) from their native country.

The site has a new doman name... www.worldwideaircraftcarriers.com ...but it might not be working yet.

I'll give it a go...but it will be several days. Lots of work to do this week...probably quite a bit of overtime.
