Very good analysis.

Here's what I have for the various Type 054A Builds to date. This is the Pennant number, name (if known) and the Launch Date and Shipyard.
The first listing is in order by their pennant numbers, with the second listing being by date launched.
Can someone check my info and help me correct any errors?

Interesting:
2006 - Two launched
2007 - Two launched
2008 - None launched
2009 - Three launched
2010 - Two launched
2011 - Four launched
2012 - One launched so far, two more planned
2013- Two planned
Fourteen launched in just over six years. Better than an average of two a year...and if you take 2008 out, it's an average of almost three a year. Planned for a total of eighteen launched in 7 years. More than two a year, and with 2008 out, it would be three per year.

Only if you include 054 525 MA'ANSHAN and 526 WENZHOU.
Hull 15 is (probably) 573 SHAOYANG and Hull 16 575 QINZHOU.
You have great knownologies of Chinese navy ships.
There are rumors that PLAN placed more 054A orders. And instead of getting 054B's, PLAN is waiting for a larger size frigates which might be very close to 052C. Of course, they are also waiting for 10000 ton destroyers.
Thanks, and to return the compliment, a lot of it I learned from you.
And just a bit of trivia, relevant to the 054A...back in my own thread I ask if anyone like to guess what kind of air conditioners they installed on the 054A, as it turns out - at least 2 units, those big fridge-sized ones = installed in the mess room are made by Daikin. Yes, as in "Made in Japan" by Daikin! Believe me, on the lower right corner of the air conditioner have the plaque in English and Japanese of the brand, type (remember something called "special air conditioner" in kanji), serial no., origin and year of production.
Went through the Daikin Marine Type Packaged Air Conditioner Unit catalog, very likely their R404A series...
Kinda irony consider where you'd find a MIJ air conditioner, but damn do Daikin made good air conditioners...

Hehehe...we've been living with the same scenario here in the states for the last 30-40 years. But they do make some very nice stuff.
Heck, we're playing the same game, but even much larger, with China now in the States. Keepin those factories hummin'!
You just have to make sure you have access to the products (or stockpile them) if you are going to use anything that is critical...or figure it out so you can make something comparable yourself if necessary.
I believe they used to use Mitsubishi AC units, well at least those dedicated industrial units are better than what they use on Jianghus.

054A 568, the Chowhu has been changed to Henyang. It still keeps 568. The City of Chowhu has been renamed to three smaller cities.
