[QUOTE]I should have clarified my stance on the quality of the economist plublications. While I think the standard has dropped slightly, I find the Economist less biased in its stories about China than other publications. More often than not it's left up to the writer on how they present their article rather than the policy of the editorial staff and therefore the level of bias varies.
I used this weeks story on some aspect in China to illustrate how the topic matter also has a part to play.In the story about the consequences of flouting China's one child policy, the writer as the title suggests set out to expose the worst punishment practices where essentially there is little room for excuses.
