Anybody else notice that Mao is taller than everybody else in those pics? I knew he was a tall man, but portraying him as the tallest might be too much.
well these pictures are not drawn for entertainment, most likely propaganda, so it's one of those basic method for making someone standout. besides, there're some places where everyone else are either sitting or in the background far away.Originally Posted by pathfinder

they also got mao wearing a different color than everyone else... guess he doesn't like the uniforms he got everyone to wear. mao was actually kinda tall compared to the average chinese back in the day... so it's not all propaganda.
errr, no actually what chairman mao worn is pretty what he did wear in real life. it's either the senior officer's uniform without ranks or his grey "zhong shan" suit. it's standing out because these posters are about navy,and he dressed in army....
and yes he was 180, it was pretty tall comparing to the average chinese at the time.
Mao looked totally awsome on those pics. It would be better if they are real.
