maybe someone can help me on my research regarding: Major Albin von Reitzenstein, B 1852 + 1927, Oberst a.D, German instructor around 1900 in China, participant during the Boxerrevolution as Staff Off. to the German East Asia Brigade(cavalary unit), Lt. Gen. in the Chinese Army and in charge for training (before Falkenhausen and Max Bauer). Opend up a German school for Chinese officers. Also active in Deutsch-Sued-West (African Colony) and participant on the Boer side during the Boer war.
So far I was only able to gain some information from www.feldgrau....
I would be grateful for any hints or news regarding his live and career in China.
I searched the net of National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI). Two articles about 来春石泰 were found. It said he and other 34 German were employed by Huguan governor Zhang Zidong in Hubei province in 1895 (or 1896?) to train the Chinese army.
This guy was there untile 1904. No more details avaliable.
I wouldn't want to publish my email address in the forum, however I cant see a link in this forum, where it is possible to send you a private notice.
Is there a way ?
