Vega flagged down a Miami police officer, who he said repeatedly ordered the attacker to get off the victim. The attacker just picked his head up and growled at the officer, Vega said.
As the attack continued, Vega said the officer shot the attacker, who continued chewing the victim’s face. The officer fired again, killing the attacker.The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. A spokeswoman said Monday that the hospital would not be releasing any information about him.

Does China have any "back from the dead" lore? I saw this pic several days ago I thought it had to be done by some Chinese fanboy living in a Western country.

yes, china has zombies of its own. "jiang shi" literally means stiff corpse. they usually are sealed by something but when they do roam, they kill people and turn the victim into one of them. This story sounds like a classic case of Cocaine poisoning. The guy that was shot was dead either way as the Coke was in the final stages of killing him. Coke poisoning victims nearly always strip naked as the coke is making the body burn itself up and vital organs fail. The brain is also cooked which is why the guys go stark staring mad before the end.

Thanks for the info. It was some fascinating reading doing a search on it. That does fit with the pic I posted. Some of the details reminded me of watching the sci-fi/horror movie Lifeforce.

Yes, China does have such scary folklore, probably originated from the Ching/Qing Dynasty which explains why the zombie is always dressed in the costume of that dynasty. It's one of the favourite theme of Chinese comedy movie. It's funny and at the same time scare the hell out of the kids or the kids in you.Does China have any "back from the dead" lore?
