I don't follow #1, #3 & #4 at all ... as for #5, I recently noticed claims of the Russian Air Force against Aleppo massively using incendiary bombs (probably ЗАБ-500 if such a claim was true in this case:

Ah, long ago I saw the Vltava and walked over Karlovy Most.LOL! last year I made this type of mistake, which is so obvious, in Prague: we were sitting with my visitors in the pub overlooking the Moldau River, and of them was drinking the beer which is brewed in Prague, so he asked me where that brewery is; since it's by the river, I pointed in its direction, saying "Down the river" while I should've said "Up the river" (at this point the visitors were distraught by something though, probably the next beer comingso they didn't notice)
for me these are very funny mistakes I made, as I've been interested in geography since I was four years old
... and I'll go back to Syria news now ...

I guess now they're somewhere around "Earth panel" in the map below (bottom-left), the red sign was put automatically when I looked up ... any idea how/where they are going to make their way to the other bank of the Euphrates?

I think the answer to your question is actually quite easy and that the SAA have no more intention of trying to storm Raqqa at the moment than does the YPG/SDF.
I say that this is indeed all about strengthening the Governments hold on Aleppo and part of this is to remove the logistical vulnerability coming up from Homs.
The Governments target is Tabqah at the bottom of Lake Assad. The objective is to seal the territory North West of the Euphrates. I expect this to be followed by the ongoing Kurdish push along the West taking everything North Al Bab and with the SAA push East and South taking the rest of territory to the West Bank of the Euphrates.
Likewise further South; around Palmyra, for all the talk of liberating Deir Ezzor, the SAA are more keen on capturing Oil and Gas Fields. My expectation is that they will push as far East as As Sukhnah and then push north to solidify the territory between the two arms and remove logistical vulnerability from the whole Homs/Aleppo theatre.
A big push in the rebel area of Aleppo and Idlib is quite unlikely for now as the rebels are too well reinforced and supplied. Instead I can see any current action being limited to putting the rebel helds areas of the City under siege and no more.
The foreseeable action against non ISIS jihadis is going to be based on the isolated pockets like East Ghouta etc.

I wonder if you have read it before you referred Xinhua (to support your point?).
The first paragraph of the Xinhua report is, I quote
