    Alishan

If you don't recognize this music then I know that you're not a Taiwan compatriot. Alishan is a beautiful blend of flute and drums. Once you hear it, it is unforgettable.

    More Han Music

I have watched and listened to this video many times. It features beautiful traditional Han artistry and a wonderful blend of erhu and flute music.

In case you missed it, here is the popular English-subtitled song "Beijing Welcomes You" that has been watched by 1,002,492 people.

    This video is very impressive.

    Stunning scenery from Huangshan, China

"Beautiful images from China - Huangshan documentary (2008)
Music: Silent Rain - Erhu, Pipa, Hulusi

Mount Huang, also known as Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), is a mountain range in southern Anhui province in eastern China. The area is well known for its scenery, sunsets, peculiarly-shaped granite peaks, Huangshan Pine trees, and views of the clouds from above. Mount Huang is a frequent subject of traditional Chinese paintings and literature, as well as modern photography. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China's major tourist destinations."

47,001,088 views of Korean pop sensation Wonder Girls' "Nobody"

This is the first time and probably the last time that I will step out of the Sinosphere. However, with 47,001,088 views, the Korean pop sensation Wonder Girls are simply incredible. The performance and choreography for "Nobody" are outstanding.

The original video with 47,001,088 views. Almost one percent of the planet's population has seen this video.

Thumbs down Re: Han Videos (e.g. China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore)

    Speechless

Note the thumbs down was meant to be directed at the song and Group.

    Popular culture

For some unknown reason, which scientists are still researching (e.g. cause could be genetic), a small minority of the population cannot appreciate popular culture.

In the past day or two, Asia's most successful group, Wonder Girls' "Nobody" video has garnered over 300,000 more viewers. The current tally is 42,364,340 views.

Wonder Girls' "Nobody" currently has 28,218 votes for "likes" and 3,623 "dislikes."

The rating is 88.6% favorable (e.g. 28,218 "likes"/31,841 total votes).

My hypothesis to explain the small minority that do not appreciate popular culture is that it is most likely due to a generation gap. If you're 65 years old and your favorite movie is "On Golden Pond," you are not likely to enjoy the Wonder Girls' "Nobody."

The Wonder Girls' "Nobody" makes me want to dance. I'm going out to buy their CD.
