Well to be fair that is certainly not unique to china.. in the LA riots and also other riots like the Cincinatti riots, police cars have been turned before as well. there were a couple of riots in college campuses after football/basketball games etc where cars have been overturned etc...

All that just because some japanese retaliated with some of their protestors landing on the islands as well. Imagine what the response would be if someone had been injured or killed.

Cincinnati's Union Passenger Terminal, an Art Deco masterpiece and reopened as a museum 20 years ago, is one of the must-see buildings for those interested in great railway stations. Dedicated in 1933, it only served passenger trains until 1972 when Amtrak sought a different location in the city.

Similar in shape, but definitely different in architectural style. The Union Terminal in Cincinnati, Ohio, is beautiful in the Art Deco style that was en vogue during that time. I say the Harbin West Railway station is more a post-modern style of architecture. Even in the inside they both have different structures, lighting, and windows. The dome and arch shape provides great structural support without the need for columns to provide a dramatic interior effect.

Besides the Empire State Building Union Terminal in Cincinnati was and still is one of the greatest examples of Art Deco ever built.. Of course I'm prejudiced.. I grew up in Cincinnati. My dad you take me and my sister to UT on Sunday after church..magnificent building. As soon as I saw the rail terminal in Harbin I thought of Union Terminal Cincinnati OH.

About artwork inside railway stations. You want to take a look at Moscows underground railway. Each station is a art museum in its own right with its magnificent frescoes. Be careful of the escalators though, they struck me to be at a steeper pitch and moved rather fast........crazy Russians.

The cements are cured, but it looks to me in this case are two different mix of cement batches, meaning the water to cement and aggregate ratio or another type of cement was added along with the first that didn't comply with the engineers and city codes. Common sloppiness and rushed job caused the lives of those poor commuters.
