    Hi, Popeye

So you've got all kinds of defense weapons to deal with any intruder. However, (at least to me) Norton Antivirus is a standard antivirus program, but not a best one. I found it always not detect some virus especially viruses that you got infected from a CHINESE website. I would suggest the following and hope it will help:

    1. Make sure your anti-virus and anti-spyware is up-to-date
    2. Have a complete scan of you computer with both programs (or just scan by anti-spyware, coz when anti-spyware is scanning, the real-time protect of anti-virus also scan)
    3. Check the running of your computer to see if there is any odd program running in Windows Task Manager
    4. Check the startup process to see if there is any odd program by running msconfig

If all these don't help and your computer get infected seriously, the last suggestion that I have for you is simply reinstall your computer...

    I highly recommend Spybot S&D v1.4.

Also, instead of IE, you may want to consider using Firefox instead.

The ultimate anti-spyware method I've found: VM (virtual machines). Install VMware, and use a VM session to browse the web. When you're done, shut down the VM session and don't save the changes.

    VMware Workstation:

You can download free 30-day eval from above site. Screen shots:

Also, I high recommend installing ZoneAlarm. It's an annoying program, but will warn you of any hidden spyware programs trying to access the net on your machine.
