These are probably the same vehicles that used to have appeared on sinodefence (WZ 551) but was said to have rear engines.

Amazing how fast Chinese wheeled AFVs are developing in the last decade. First the WZ551, then we saw a lot of other variants including 100mm AT gun.

Now this new family truly looks quite formidable.

^^^Finally... but it would take a few more years to replace the current 'old' models. there is just too many of them.

well there are still some jobs where Treads are best. like on tanks ant heavy heavy gear although the south africans hace a wheeled 155mm hoitzer.

For the record: did the the PLA base this new APC on the Styker? And will it replace the WZ551?

I hightly doubt it's a Direct clone or even copie of the USARMY stryker. More likely it's just parrellel evolution that being that for the job of light fast armour an 8 wheeled hull is best. you see the same thing with Tanks though they were built by difrent goverments trying to out do the others they all pretty much look the same from WW2 to today.

ZFB91 wheeled armored anti riot vehicle. Fielded by the HongKong and Macau garrisons. HongKong garrison has a 12.7mm MG installed on the turret, whereas the Macau version has a 7.62mm. The above is the 7.62mm version. According to speculation/rumours the gun is derived from the type 80 MG.

To be honest, the shape of the hull is pretty similar to the Stryker design, maybe the chinese really got influenced by the Stryker. Copy is not a bad thing when u tries to get the good stuff.... But if the result are bad, then copy is bad...
