checking 2006 back issue of Ordance Knowledge magazine (Chinese) interview Chinese ATGM chief designer.reveal that they are currently developing light weight "top attack Missile" ,but do not give away any technical detail, therefore I assume he is refering to Tow-2B type ATGM.
the "top attack missile" may turn out to be AFT-11.
They have the fuse and explosively formed penetrator from the sensor-fused anti-tank munition. They just need to attach it to a non-rotating ATGM. Heck if they can miniaturize it and make it more acceleration-resistant, it would make a good mortar round or indirect artillery around (like the south korean one).
during the mid-90's, NORINCO claim that they are developing 160mm guided mortal round.since then no news ever come out, likely the project been scrapped. But I speculate the project been revive.and possible GPS guided artillery shell. and wind correction CBU.

HJ-73D missile fired from a Type-86A IFV.

The version with a 30 mm turret is actually ZBD86D.
ZBD86A has the 73 mm gun.
The T-90 can hold more than its own against a M1... and if sufficiently upgraded (like the newer M1 variants) I'd expect it to be moe or less in the same league. On the other hand reactive armor usually is pretty much useless aganst APFSDS rounds, so they they're very likely inflating their capabilities A LOT.
