A improved version of the Russian Mig 21 and it is very outdated now compare to other new jet fighters.

the j-7c, along with the mig-21 2000 represent the last available developmenty of the mig-21. the fighter had great potential, but is now depleted.
I think that the last development of the mig-21 is actually the J-7g.

Actually J-7E/G is alot more capable than J-7C,D. It has better engines, manuverbility, and raders. And what is J-7F?

The newer J-7 versions certainly do have new engines and radars. They also have a new wing with a double-delta shape rather than a simple delta.

The only reason these fighters should be developed is for export. They can make a lot of money selling such fighters. They definetly do not need such planes in their own air force. $15 million a play is pretty good tho.
