Reserves get VIP status? Nice - maybe I'll think about joining the RN Reserve!

In all seriousness I have thought about it, though I probably won't. A colleague is a reservist and has been on subs, though he can't say which.

All who serve, no matter where deserves to right.

And ofcourse you should serve as well. In fact I'm quite suprised that the ammount of those who have served is so little. One would assume those who are interest of military issues should be the ones that most eagerly wish to serve in military as well.

Who knows, Fu, if you join the RN Reserve, you just might find yourself aboard QE or PoW someday, maybe even deploy to the Taiwan Straits and then send the rest of us live posts from the thick of the action. Or if that fails to come to pass, you'll at least be able to console yourself with government-subsidized, tax-free beer and liquor. That's how they prevent the Infantry from getting ideas (amongst others...)

Ender Wiggin: What unit are you being enrolled in?

This is a bit off topic but @ Golly and Webmaster and the other mods, are you going to do the VIP Membership Christmas giveaway again this year? That would be very cool.

Reasonable transit time - probable length of conflict = No chance!

Well, what about the government-subsidized and tax-free booze? Are you implying that the time-honoured practice of enlisting for drink (and the Sino Defence Forum practrice of enlisting for a VIP account) are not enough incentive to take the Queen's guinea? ;)

Meh, I have a feeling they might not have a ready supply of the particular tipple I would want! :D
