As you say..any teenager..I'm 52. I knew it was fake simply because I know there is no CVN-78 or any USN CV's with three aircraft elevators. But to the untrained eye they could be fooled.

I remember a thread in the old forum about a PRC version of Air Force One This was in 2000. It was to be a 767. But when the Chinese inspected the plane..Gadzooks!!! It was full of, shall we say, bugs!

China will soon have its own "Air Force One", a special plane for the country's head of state.

According to a reliable government source, China is expected to the the third country, following the US and Japan, to have its own Air Force One.

The Beijing Youth Daily reports that a Boeing 767-300ER has been bought for the purpose.

Air Force One, the special plane for the head of state and initiated by the United States president in 1959, has got worldwide recognition.

The China Air Supply Import & Export Corporation, the Chinese United Airlines have reached an agreement with an American Airline lately on the purchasing of the Boeing 767-300ER plane, the source said.

The plane, its cabin to be upgraded to VIP status, will be mainly used by China's top leader for domestic flight, the source said.

The Boeing 767-300ER has the most sophisticated fuselage and wings, and is equipped with a powerful engine capable of flying 11,393 kilometres mileage.

Fakesters are very professional these days, if you look closely on the tail you will see PLAAF marking on Tu-22.

A question about "PS" PLA pics for all PLA fans and China watchers.

Do you think all these "PS'ed" photos of PLA equipment have an effect on the crediablity of all the PLA forces? You guys know what I mean. Everytime a new pic of PLA gear shows up everyone wonders .."Is it real or fake?" Or "do they really have that?"

I myself as a China watcher am tired of guessing..although it is fun:) ...I want to see the real pics...

The picture shows that a Luda 051 (161) was so near to a US carrier and 2 F-18 on the carrier were ready to take off.
I do not think a US carrier fleet can allow a foreign war ship to be so near to the carrier. What do you think?

Let "Big Daddy Popeye" straighten this out....
1) You are correct.
2) The USN would never allow an combantant ship of another nation to get so close unapposed unless it was some sort of joint operation, training or excersise.
3) Those aircraft are from the USS Harry S. Truman(CVN-75) which is an east coast CVN and air wing. Look closely. The "AC" on the tails of of those Hornets tell that those aircraft belong to CVW-3 which is assigned to CVN-75. As far as I know the PLAN has yet to operate in the Persian Gulf,Medterrain Sea or Atlantic.
4) CVN-75 is presently located at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth VA. It returned from it's last deployment in April 2005.

I have my theory. The site you posted is normally accurate on PLA news. The link to the picture says in Chinese, "Can we fight an American carrier?". The picture was obviously Photoshoped to fit the question where a chinese ship is PSed into a picture of the harry trumen.

the luhai class is not chinese. if u observe, the number painted on the ship is white. chinese vessels usually have number painted in black.

Actually Finn anyone that steps foot on a USN Cv during "flight ops" has to have on flight deck gear. Helmet, Goggles, Flotation vest, colored Flight deck jersey or long sleeves. And high top steel toe safety boots. Even the Pres....

Well this is the FAKE pictures thread! But seriously, right now nobody actually HAS F-35s as they are still in development but a large number of countries are salivating at the prospect of recieving them eventually. Anyone who is operating Harriers, F-16s, Tornados, Jaguars and a few other types can be considered a potential customer in the next couple of decades and if you want to have a carrier force that isn't CTOL or STOBAR then the F-35B is pretty much the only game in town. The JMSDF CV depicted is a CTOL carrier so the F-35C is the version of choice here. Japan would have to find a way of circumventing their own constitution before they could acquire carriers at the moment, but when the Chinese put the Varyag and it's successors to sea then all bets would be off. For further info I suggest you read the threads on the Varyag and carriers in general on this forum.

Like the German CV! If only... about time they started pulling their weight. My little 'doodle' came about because like most engineers, I can't leave anything alone for long! The original, although looking very futuristic to the uninitiated was an axial deck design with no catapults or ski jumps. And they expected us to believe J-10s and SU-33s could just do a rolling takeoff? Why didn't everyone else think of that! Needn't have wasted all that time and effort developing catapult technology. The truth is no one has designed and built an axial deck carrier without catapults since WW2, with good reason, and I wish I could get copyright on that pic because I'm sure it will appear elsewhere now...

(1). I think the 1st pic is real. This is some type of Chinese Kungfu. You should remember that the guy lift himself off ground with four fingers, but the guy dropped back to ground immedietely after that. Not standing with his four fingers for any longer time.

The first one is real, at least can be real for sure. I personally saw this during my military training in high school. We were trained in central security regiment. We were not trained for this kind of thing for sure. The soilder who was in charge of my class was so bored when we were told to stand straight for 30 mins. He hit the basket ball post with his fingers (not fists) very hard that we could hear the sound. But he could not do the thing in the picture, some other soilders can. Pushup with 2 fingers from each hand and some bricks hanging on the back was their regular training every day. Seems they are very serious on finger trainings. Anyway, to us, they are supermen.

No, I saw soldiers could do this for at least 30 sec. Drop to the ground immediately is using only 1 finger from each hand.
