Guys, I know that there are several Naval experts hanging out here. Jeff and Popeye obviously but many more of the regulars also. By my standards everyone's an expert, lol.

I'm deep into my research and illustration of North Korea hoping to produce a 'Bluffer's guide' much like the one I did on Iran ( http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=70000 ).

I have most of the subs and infiltration craft down, and am planning on skipping a whole bunch of less exciting / better reported types.

But I have found as many questions as answers.

Key subjects:
* Recent large frigate that hasn't hit the news (hint hint)
* Anything on armed hovercraft (hint hint)
* Anything on catamarans and/or surface effect ships (hint hint)
* Any units not widely reported

I don't read Korean or Japanese so my research has hit some dead ends - desperately need help researching in these languages. :coffee:

So if anyone knows something that isn't widely available in the English speaking world about the DPRK navy, or can read Korean or Japanese or even Chinese and wants to help...

Hmmm, shame. I have so many leads, but most of the good stuff is in Korean and Japanese and Babelfish just doesn't cut it.

Here's a taster, obviously this ship has no secrets to reveal, but it's a pretty picture.
