Battlefield 2-How many errors can you spot?

Since playing the game, Battlefield 2, Ive notice on a critical perspective the many errors the game has.
Chinese Side:

MBT: - EA cited Type-98 MBT, really it is Type-99

Rifle:
- EA gave special forces Type-95 Carbine versions, really Special Forces uses the Type-95 standard
- EA stats that the assault troop uses AK-47, biggest mistake in the whole BF2 game I reckon....really the PLA troops uses Type 81 or the elite troops the Type-95

Helicopter:
- EA cited the attack helicpoter as Z-10, really it is WZ-10
- EA cited the main transport chopper as the Z-8, really the main transport chopper is Mi-17 also the tactical troop transport Z-9.

How many more errors can you guys find...the more I play the game the more I laugh at it:nana: :roll:

To be honest, I'm not really into comparing games with real life as much as I used to be, but I will say that the tank in BF2 is a Type-98. It's not even a very accurate model at that. But I think the biggest clue that it IS a 98 is the fact that it lacks the revised turret armor of the 99.

But again, BF2 was only ever a game, not a simulation. :o .

does anyone feel in the game, PLA's sniper, and support is not as good as the others? sniper rifle so inaccurate that i avoid that class all together when i play PLA. Also, the PLA squad machine gun has significantly less ammo when compare to the other two side, you have to reload a lot more often.

BF2 itself came out some time before these corrections were made.

Look at the J-10, it is painted white like in PLANAF aircraft, or old PLAAF paint style. Modern J-10s are in light blue. The J-10 also carries the old style of red digit markings, and it carries the number "81192" or 9th Division PLANAF. 81192 is actually the number of the J-8II that collided with the EP3.

Man, if you think this is erroneous, play Command and Conquer Generals. The PLAAF flies MiG 1.44s (you can just liberally imagine it just two engined J-10 instead), and there are massive tanks called Emperor tanks which has two cannon on the turret and just eats everything on ground. Chinese Tank General is one of the toughest to beat in the game.

Hey Crobato I didn't know you played Command and Conquer Generals that's cool anyway I have to agree China Tank General is one of the Toughest and I always use the China Tank General to pawn my enemies I just spam Emperor tanks and the Helicopter equip them with the gattling cannon and annihiliate them :D :D :D .

Have you played Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars yet, I have to upgrade my PC till then I foresee the expansion to be out :mad: :mad:

Oh I'm sorry. I have not played Generals for a while. I thought the game is a bit imbalanced either to the Chinese tank general (build more Emperor tanks) or to the GLA toxin general (build SCUDs asap and rain it down on the other guy). There is however, a strange evil pleasure turning the opponent's side of the map oozing with glowing green after you drop the SCUDs filled with poison gas on his bases.

Generals and Zero Hour are games so politically incorrect, I can't stop laughing. Doctor 'Thrax indeed. Banned in real life China by the way, despite that China gets to be the world superpower in the end of the series.

Horrible games but potential for mods is the only reason that I have those games somewhere in my boxes.

I prefer games such as : Cuban Missile Crisis the Aftermath , Ice Crusade , Entente Gold , Entente , Pervoaya Merovaya (first world war) , Stalingrad , War in the Gulf , Battle for Black Gold , Ice Crusade (expansion to cuban missile crisis) , Cold War Conflicts and numerous other games such as operation flashpoint , defcon , shadow president , blitzkrieg anthology , blitzkrieg 2.

Maybe PLA was not amused by the sarcastic cartoon caricatures. Just as a note, they applied to everyone, American generals act dumb and gungho, GLA and PLA acting like your typical movie stereotype evil masterminds.

The plot lets you play PLA, then GLA and then USA in alternative fashion, with USA and PLA having alliance to defeat GLA. Along the way, there is liberal use of WMD, nuclear weapons, death ray beam weapons, suicide bombing. In China campaign alone, you undertake seriously overhanded measures like destroying the Hong Kong convention center which is hijacked by the GLA. In destroying the convention center, you not only destroy the GLA but also the hundreds of hostages. Later you go blow up the Three Gorges dam in order to preempt a GLA strike force. The story end is quite favorable to China though. At the end of Zero Hour, USA retreats into isolationism, China defeats the GLA and becomes the world's new global cop. Despite the game being launched in the Age of the War on Terror, the theme certainly doesn't pull punches in terms of suggestive prophecy.

There is another old game called Force 21 by Red Storm Entertainment, which is Tom Clancy's company. It was made long ago, so the forces are not up to date. It's a 3D tactical game and a lot more serious. The game lets you play both China and US side. The scenario has China storm rolling all over Eurasia right to the Caspian sea, with NATO opposing it. The game is an attempt in serious tactical simulation, but has poor controls and unit management so it failed.

SVD and Type 88 are the best sniper rifles around if you know how to use them... perfect for rapid headshots

also the type 88 isn't that bad, i can headshot with it pretty easily since it's got the thinnest crosser.

as for C&C General, let's not forget in the very first campaign Tiananmen Square is blown up by GLA terrorists.
