I just returned from a trip to Boracay in the Philippines.
I give it 2 thumbs up.
White sand, bits of coral, clear ocean water with fish swimming around. Paradise at 1/3rd the price of Hawaii.
I recommend staying at the Regency beach-front hotel. The beach area has security patrol 24/7 and its' safe to walk around even at 4am.
You have to haggle a bit with the vendors. We were quoted $100 for scuba diving but after some haggling, got it down to $50 with fishing trip added.
