My personally think that time, 1984, the chinese infantry is actually prelly well equiped..
All this is REAL action in the war... wow... in third video you see the man getting shot in the ear... :( :( very true and sad. his partner tells him to leasve, but he said he want to stay... :( alot of blood...:( they sure foght hard. the 5th one is my favorite. we should closely study those videos.
also, it would be good for some one to translate, some stuff they siad, my chinese is very limited.

Dialogue roughly involves the wounded soldier refusing to be evaced by the medic.

medic:get him down, carry him down, hurry, carry him.
someone:what about the captain? the captain is staying here.
medic:i'll stay with the captiain, you, hurry, carry him down!
solider: Save the captian first!
hmm i think that is the type-81 that they are using if i am correct. Do you notice that it has a small kick and higher rate of fire compare to ak-47
Does anyone care? The AK-47 was the junk version the Russians gave out to other nations and revolutionary movements. They themselves moved up to the AKM a few years later.

By the second sino-vietnamese conflict, the Type 81 was deployed. It received positive feedback from troops during that war. Much easier way of telling the difference is looking at the grenade launcher adapter at the barrel tip. The AK47 and Type56 have a forward sight that is close to the muzzle, while the Type 81 has the forward sight a bit further back because of the grenade launcher adapter.
Also seen is the Type-74 flamethrower.
