SEK is pure police unit, even GSG9 is just Police.

SEK works from a state-bassed jurisdiction. Whereas GSG-9 is like the american F.B.I which has a 'federal' jurisdiction and can operate without jurisdictional restrictions. KSK is a counter-terrorist arm of the Bundeswher. I apologize for making the S.W.A.T generalization.
Is that about right? By the way, any pictures you can provide are apreciated. I know you probably have quite a few to share :)

GSG9 is not like FBI either, its just a special force of about 200 men wich has best possible training, equipment and unlike sek units it can be used abroad.
The german equivalent to FBI is the Verfassungsschutz or maybe even the BKA

In 2002 the turret of the new german artillery System Pzh 2000 was mounted onto the foreship of a F124 class frigate to show principal feasibility.
Some early tests were sucessfull. The turret needs some small modifications and a fast loading system is also being developed. It's a 155mm L52 gun.

On November 15th, the missile system IDAS (interactive defence and attack system for submarines) was succesfully tested for the second time. It's a fiber optic cable giuded missile designed to primarily engage ASW Heli's, with secondary ship and land attack capability, and can be lunched submerged. IR seeker is taken from the IRIS-T AAM, range appr. 15km.
Availability is planed for 2009.

Diehl BGT Defence company is developing a supercavitating torpedeo named Barracuda. It has some kind of Autopilot and a movable cone-shaped nose to change direction. Some Barracudas were build and showed a stable course and succesfull man steering. Top speed is said to be 360km/h or 194,4kts.
A newspaper-article stated 800km/h (432kts) and it would have the ability to intercept a Shkval. In the rare articles I can find it's mainly described as an anti-torpedo-torpedo.
It was first made public on the Imdex 2005 exhibition in Singapur, though I havn't found anything on that.

The amphibious units are either of LCU type MK10 or a LCAC hovercraft type and two type MK6 landing craft mechanised LCM(T) wich are stowed in a recess, port and starboard, on Deck 01. Further ample space in/for Hospital is availiable.
Main Specification:

Length in waterline 174,00 m
Beam 26,50 m
Depth to main deck 16,85 m
Design draught 6,00 m
Displacement (full load) 15,000 t
Propulsion plant 2 x 11MW
Speed max. 22 kts
Range 8,000 nm / 16,5 kts

Pro-German Afghan march canceled
KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, May 24 (UPI) -- Afghans in Kunduz wanted to demonstrate in favor of German military presence, but security concerns canceled the march.
Under the motto "Germany must stay -- we need you," the citizens of Kunduz Thursday wanted to reassure the German military after three of their soldiers were killed and five more injured last Saturday in a suicide bombing attack in a busy Kunduz bazaar.
Thousands of citizens wanted to march through the streets to show their solidarity with the roughly 300 German Bundeswehr soldiers who are stationed just outside Kunduz and for the past years have been working on reconstruction projects in this northern Afghan province.
The march, however, was canceled at the last minute by security officials because they had received threats that the march would be targeted by terrorist attacks, the online version of German news magazine Der Spiegel said Thursday.
Local authorities are "sure that two potential attackers are still in the city," Spiegel Online said.
