Its hard to explain but lets say I'm working on a "story" and I want to base it on China.
However, I'm thinkng of ROFT3K, or some other period.
But for Romance, are they're any great novels out that describe the era fictional and/or historically?
I also heard that theyre are also movies, what would be their quality?

Why not Luo Guanzhong's original Romance of the Three Kingdoms? ;)

Once you have finished desining the mechanics of the game- can I play???
Do you think you'll be able to DM a session online over sinodefence???
I am an avid fan of RPGs and I am a somewhat experienced dungeon master.

its not that kind of game, its the RM2k3, an rpg maker that requires very little coding its kinda drag and drop, think Final Fantasy.
As for an online game I'm still doing research.

I was thinking that you might be working on a tabletop rpg with like dice that you might be able to run on sinodefence. Well, computer rpgs are cool too I guess.
