Well...as some of you may have seen the random pictures from DefenceTalk.com Military gallery. They are random from all areas of the category and not just China.
Question:
Would you prefer random pictures from world forces
OR
Just the chinese sections?
For now, I will wait for feedback and also test this out and see how it does... we will try to get "just the chinese" pictures randomized.
Till then, enjoy!

I'd like to see world armed forces pics. Swimmerxc does a fine job of finding and posting PLA pics...Which I enjoy.

Yeah. I think world armed forces would be great but if for some reason people feel uncomfortable with that then I will try to get the chinese only (I don't know how much of 1700+ pics that DT has in China section we can randomize and for how long? ;-) ).
Swimmerxc is the man! ;)

This feature has been enhanced and now looks better, acts better and is better.
You see it on the Forum HOME page but also in Global Military Images forum as well:
http://www.sinodefenceforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23
Also, provides category list below the thread lists for your enjoyment. It is dynamic, so whenever pictures are uploaded or comments are made on http://www.DefenceTalk.com/pictures/ they will also appear in the link above as well! ;)
Thoughts?

It seems with the new server the ablity to post thumbnails has vanished. Bummer dude! What gives? All you get now when you post a thumbnail is a link.
For me that is the easiest way to post pictures. Plus I like the feature of counting the "hits" on the pictures.

What do you mean? Ability to post thumbnails? How did thumbnails for pictures from DefenceTalk give you ability to post thumbnails on the forum here?
The attachment feature here on the forum is working... isn't it?

In a post I made about an hour ago in the aircraft carrier thread. I added an attachment. A picture of myself off my hard drive. When I posted the post the picture was not there. Instead there was a link to my picture.
As far as posting thumbnail pictures here at SDF I do it all the time. Every day almost.

Couldn't happen to notice that some of the pics are quite...well basicly soft-porn. Does this causes any trouples with the legistation and/or with the pageproviders? I don't mind, not at all (And I'm sure that there aint none of us in here who say no to somebodys daughter:D :p ) but how about the uptight byrocrats?

Yeah, the photos featured recently just don't make much sense... at least previously they all seemed military-related, and now we've got playboy-esque pinups and Spiderman.

I've disabled thumbnails from that particular category... but there are no "play boy" pics on the site, just some models.

Would you rather see a picture or an ad? :coffee:
Thanks!

I think it would all depend on the content. Generally I rarely ever click on advertisements just because I rarely buy things. I have on many occasions clicked on the military photos though...
