Woman in the PAP?

I'm wondering are there woman employed in the People's Armed Police? And are their private investigation firms in China, do the police perform extensive investigations of criminal activity and if so how much independant authority do they have in pursuing corruption charges? I'm currious and I dont know where ot post this.
