first of all.. it's a TV show. and the second thing is.. all camo looks very similar right now. so can't really say who stole who's camo. we can also say germans stole french clothing, or russians stole mongolian pants...i mean .. who cares man.

Your title is politically sensitive, so I changed it.
Also, can you prove this?
You have no photo of German camoflage.
I don't care for the camo stealing or not because technically they all "look" the same.
But that one chick in every shot looks like a ROCK! Does she even know how to act or was it her looks that got her on scene?

well, german "dots" camo is pretty good.i think it's the second best next to canadian digits (or the US ones now). because it is good, so we try to find a similar way. and no, german camo doesn't work as good as 87 woodland does in china, so we didn't steal the camo. we are trying to find a "dot" camo that suits china. in the photos, such camo is issued to the troops in tibet as the winter clothing. about the helmet, it is the standard 02 kevlar helmet. and if you talk about stealing, i think US first "stole" the design from M35 of german army in WWII.
it is the new tv series called "vertical buffet", about airborne. it looks very nice i am going to see it. you could BT it later.

I take it from the fact that they are wearing blue epaulettes on their camo gear that they are supposed to be airborne troops........but chinese airborne troops wear grey camo in real life don't they!

this is redicoulous. how do you know the chinese simply copied? perhaps they were designing their own uniform, and found this to be convinient. plus, this is all a movie. your just judging by a few photos. until u find some proof of so and so stealing so an so's uniform, id advise u not to maker such an accusation.

the german flecktarn is in use since ww2
its not very likely that the chinese just "invented" it

the flecktern was only issued to airborne troops and some waffen ss. what makes you think china cant make its own camo? most of the worlds camo looks very similar. i dont think ive ever seen real pla troops wear this camo either. "steal" is just not the right word.

Yeah, those are definately movie photos. Besides, why steal German camoflauge designs? If anything, the Digi-Camo the U.S Marines has looks several times more effective, though the German Camo is very similar in the looks department.

This kind of claim is both biased and pointless. Since those photos are from a TV soap (a fairly bad taste one too in my personal opinion), this thread should be regarded as non-military and will be better off staying in this forum. If there are more offensive comments, I will have no choice but delete the whole thread!
Like I said, this is a place to relax, and don't break it

oh my god, are we still on this?
what is steal, people? who used camo at the first place? then the rest of the world "stole" from this country? so USMC stole from canada? and ACU is also a kind of digits, they also "stole" from canada?
this is not a real uniform. chinese media could not put real life PLA troop patches and uniform on tv. so they just found this camo out of nowhere, it doesn't mean it will be issued to the troop
here is a photo of new chinese desert(not the sand desert, dont' know the word in english) camo which is issued to the troops in Tibet

As others have said, 'stealing' is a very harsh word. If we used the term 'stole' for everything, then very little in any modern military would be legit! I assume that the UMSC probably took examples and refined the process. It is done with firearms, it is done with aircraft and it is done with combat boots.
And is the term your looking for 'Mountianous' or 'Alpine'? The uniform does looked BASSED off of the German Fletchard(spelling corrections?) cammoflauge which is also a Alpine cammo.

You are ALL wrong. Its is a REAL camo pattern. It is used in Tibet, and surrounding areas. Why do you guys all bash the hell out of each other when NONE of you have the real answer. I own a set and it is indeed issued.

How can someone even claim inventing things such as camo though really? We have been using camo for a very long time.
It tends to change colour due to enviroment obviously, so how the hell can any nations just go round, yes we invented this camo, i think personally that is just absurd.

Welcome to the forum, Claymorelion.
Go ahead and introduce yourself in the introduction thread.
And meanwhile, please be reminded that bashing OF ANYKIND IN ANYWAY is prohibited. Reduce profanity also. Thank you

Keep in mind that imitation is the highest form of flattery. Those people whining about how the PLA "steals" and "copies" their stuff should be flattered.
