Hey Guys,
If you need a place to upload your pictures, etc and you can't find a decent place, please upload them here >> defencetalk.com Pictures! and then copy the auto generated [img] tag link in the picture info to share on the other forums (this one).
If you experience any problem or issues, please please let me know!

How to Upload a video!!
Finally we can embed videos in this forum!
And it's so simple even a 57 year old man can do it!!
All you have to do is find the video you want to embed..it has to be from;
# Hulu
# YouTube
# Vimeo
# Dailymotion
# Metacafe
Copy the url of that video in your browser. Not the embedded url. The URL at the very top of your computer screen. Yea..that one. Select the little icon that looks like a piece of movie film in the tool bar when you post here at SDF. Past your video's URL in that popup box. Click ok in that box and you are done..it's simple.
And oh yea..DO NOT POST ANY PORNOGRAPHY OR NUDITY OF ANY SORT!! IF YOU DO YOUR ASS WILL BE BANNED FOREVER!!!

Ahem... I've noticed some of the new member are posting photos by hotlinking them.. If you don't know what hotlinking is read this entire thread! Any photos I find that are hotlinked will be deleted. The best way to host your military photos is here..Military photos - Military Pictures - Air Force Army Navy Missiles Defense
Just registrar and you will have unlimited space to upload your military photos. Simple!

Recently there has been a surge in hotlinking. I banned one member for 30 day because he hotlinked about 100 photos in 30+ post.
All members are reminded not to hotlink your photos! Use a photo hosting site such as imageshack or photobucket. Don't know what hot-linking is??? Read this thread!! All photos that I discover that are hotlinked will be deleted and a suspension may follow!.

How to upload photos..
1) Download the picture to your computer by right clocking and making the selection "save image as".
2) Use a reliable photo hosting to upload your photo. Follow their instructions.
3) Copy and then paste the photo hosting URL for your pix on your post. Use the one that says for forum use. You may post as many as 25 pix in a single post at SDF.
Simple!
Best photo hosting site with no bandwidth issues.

Most other US based photo hosting sites have bandwidth issues.
Photobucket is fine.(I use it).if you have a pro account(I do) for $3 bucks a month, otherwise don't use it. Your pix will eventually disappear. Tinypic use to be good until they were absorbed by photobucket. Now they also have bandwidth issues.

Everyone that uses imageshack needs to know this.
This is a message received from imageshack. The bottom line is that IS wants it's users to upgrade to a premium account.You have 2710 photos stored. Since you're over the 500 photo limit you'll need to upgrade to a Premium account or you'll only be able to keep 500 of your recent photos. Older photos will expire on the 1st of March.
The cost is either $2.00 USD a month or $4.00 USD a month.
ImageShack® - Subscribe
I suggest if you have over 500 pix stored at imageshack to download them to your computer.. or purchase one of their premium accounts.
I will not be purchasing an imageshack account..so many of my older imageshack hosted pix will disappear March 1st 2012.. so will many others in this forum.
