The WZ-10 is hardly as stealthy as the comanche though - the latter has a lot more LO features (internal weapon bays!!) while the WZ-10 has a bit of stealth shaping from what we can see, and funneling exhausts upwards - but that's like... it.
Like, you wouldn't compare the Tiger to the Comanche.

Any stealthy features that the WZ-10 does have isn't enough to compare it to the RAH-66 =/
The similarity between the WZ-10 and AH-64 compared to the WZ-10 and RAH-66 is far smaller, so it'd be prudent to say it's more similar to the apache

Forgetting about the Cobra are we? The WZ10 is not in the same weight category as the Apache and would be a better fit compared to the Cobra.

Do you have reliable MTOW specs for the WZ-10?
(If you don't - then I think it'd be prudent to compare it to the apache rather than the comanche or cobra. I mean, just look at pictures of the apache, WZ-10, and the AH-1. The best comparison might be the Tiger though..)

    EDIT:
Just having been on huitong's page, he quotes the WZ-10 weight as around 5.5 tons - whether this means MTOW or empty is up for debate, obviously if it's the latter then it'd be far heavier and the comparison with the Cobra (whose MTOW is under 5 tons, thank you wikipedia) would be a bit invalid, as would an Apache comparison (over 10 freaking tons..)
The Tigre's MTOW meanwhile is 6 tons, which is the best comparison imho. But all this hangs on whether the 5.5 tons quote is MTOW or empty weight, regardless I wouldnt' compare the WZ-10 with the Cobra.

There are suggestions that China has worked out all the technical obstacles to mass producing a turboshaft engine, so now it's deploying the WZ-10 (an improved version compared to the prototypes built in 2003 / 2004), with capability comparable to Apache Longbow.

What's the operational status of the WZ-10 currently? Are there WZ-10 squadrons? Is this exclusively a PLA platform?

Is this the latest photo? I think people are saying that they finally solved the turboshaft problems. Did they say anything about actually deploying it??

The engine was the last thing holding back the WZ-10. It makes sense for it to be entering service in large numbers now. Look at how quickly they have been deploying Z-9 variants.

There were several prototypes built, not just 2.

    Re: WZ-10 thread

Postings on Chinese internet indicate that mass produced batches of Z-10 are being deployed to Nanjing military region (i.e. the folks tasked with Taiwan theater). The post also said that Z-10 was in limited production with foreign engine for a few years. (Presumably for training purpose)

I like the camo version better than the dark green one!!

Disagree with that. They are high-res and clear.
