New thread hopefully to put the OT posts from the AESA thread.
--------------
But also, I hope this thread will act as a go-to place for people (who can't read chinese) but who want to get up to date with the rumors and speculation going on, and which sources to trust and which to not.
Like, post links to pages which are fairly reliable (hopefully in english), and also posters on this forum or other forums who are and we'll have a discussion on how reliable they are etc so new members can get acquintaned and familiar.
For example, the most obvious place I can think of is Huitong's site: http://cnair.top81.cn/
Over at CDF =GT is a reliable poster and for me broke the first definite news about the J-20 late last year, pasting a paragraph with lots of deatils about the J-20s cockpit, paintscheme, nose probe, etc. Pinko at Key Forums is good as well.
What do you guys think of the idea of listing reliable posters/sites? It may get a little personal, due to inevitable debate over validity of sources but I think we need a definite list to rely on, espicially with all these new PLAAF developments going on.

Sorry - since I can't read Chinese - but which one is that "strategic bomber" ?
Deino
The bomber might not be to scale (the airliners certainly aren't).
The color code is interesting.
Note, the yellow J-10A is after gray J-10B, and then there is a line-art J-10B "first flight".
My guess:
Green means production.
Yellow means first flight.
Gray means "project started".
Line-art means future.
Personally, I find the "high altitude, long range, anti stealth-aircraft unmanned aerial vehicle" to be the most interesting.
I think yellow is production. Nonetheless, why are their multiple types of each aircraft. For example, why are there several J-11BSs. I can't read chinese
Edit: Looking at it closer, I can't find any pattern to the colors.

They signify different stages of development. Take the J-11BS for example, the first just says J-11BS, which I presume to mean the start of the program. The second says first flight, and the third says something like final configuration, which means it's set for serial production.
I'm just reading what it says in the chart. It says, word for word, "strategic bomber".
I find that pretty interesting as well. According to the chart it's also already had its first flight, and it's set to be certified right around now.
