Okay it looks like they carry flares. But where are the decoy dispensers mounted?

This is a discussion on New J-10 thread II within the Air Force forums, part of the China Defense & Military category; Ada uses stricter rules which make security and reliability issues easier to address. For military applications that's pretty important....

this is posted on one of the newspaper regarding CAC. It basically confirms what we've known for quite a while, which is CAC is in charge of 4th generation fighter project.
J-10 meets visitor from Russia. Guess who.
"Lets do a thermal sweep."
Hi Crobato
Those two aircrafts in that photograph looks more like two plastic models to me.
2 J-10 to participate this year zhuhai airshow, more likely single and double seater.
I came across the same report. I believe this link is to the original Chinese report:
http://mil.news.sina.com.cn/p/2008-0...521521118.html
The following is from an English-language news source that attempted to translated the Chinese report:
http://www.alert5.com/2008/09/j-10-a...a-airshow.htmlAccording to this article, three Chengdu J-10 fighters will be taking part in this year's China airshow in Zhuhai. One will be taking part in the flying display.
A H-6 tanker and one JH-7 ground attack jet will take part as well.
I can't say that I'm surprised. Once the J-10 was officially acknowledged, it was only to be expected that it would make an air show appearance.
what's the name of passive phase array radar on J-10?
My ranking of radar is
1)AESA
2)Passive Phase Aarray
3)Slot Array.
Western countries are using AESA now, Russia is bit behind using the Passive one. Slot Array is outdated by now.
majority of fighters used by the US now-a-days use slotted array.
Only F-22s, and a few f-15s and F-18s have aesa. The rest of F-18, F-15 and ALL F-16s have slotted array.
They won't have an all AESA force until 20 years from now.
Or, to get the point across more clearly, only a few dozen f15s in USAF use AESA array. The rest of several hundred F15s use a slotted array. All of the f16 is USAF use slotted array. It really is a technogolical marvel that is still in its infancy, in a way. I'm sure 10 years from now the situation will be different, perhaps on both sides.
several web site claim radar range for J-10 is 130km,is this max. range,10 meter rcs or 5 meter RCS.?
