Will anyone bother to tell me which one is better, EF2000 or J10?

...The one you like more...

There is no means of nayone execpt those who have flown both aircraft to determine which plane is better.

In general comparsion of system A vs. B are quite hard and pointless. From known facts some sort of analyze can be made if you can look the facts objectively. But when the A and B are very similar, like for instance in this case, no executing line can be drawn.

So to comfort your desire, lets say they are both just as good as the other

I will
That's an easy one: EF2000
There's nothing ashame to admit that. In fact, I am confident and happy to admit that EF2000 is better than J10 almost in all areas.`

20 years ago I would be embarrased to be asked by such questions. 10 years ago I would be reluctant to say any thing. Now it's different.

Would like to hear more about the reason.

Re: *New J-10 Thread*

I don't...and as I uprank both of you, we do it myway...

joking aside, we wont have a pointless comparisons in this thread. This topic is sactured for J-10, If you want to discuss about EF-2000, make a thread in the world armed forces forum. Also, I advice you all take a climse to our rules and regulations and what they say about comparison threads.

Thanks, Gollevainen

Gollevainen, in my opinion both of us haven't broken rules, or? You are right, a generic comparison is pointloss. But a comparison interms of weapon system or engine could make some sense, at least give us some deeper view into J10, couldn't it? So I ask for further permission for limited and concrete comparison.

Re: *New J-10 Thread*

I didn't say you had broke a rule, just that you tryed to direct the discussion towards a road that in most likely would end up rather nasty.

Like said in the "new members, read before posting" thread you need to provide the information where to base your comparisons. It's the only way you can do comparison threads in here. Simply just asking which one is better is against the "spirit of the law/rules" and even more if someone just awsers that "J-10 is the best cos it kicks ass".

And as you didn't do anything else than just asked why it is so, you don't need to worry about this, but as the one making the claims haven't awnsered, I suggest you to leave this subject as I ask for zyun8288 to do also. If he wants to reply to the question why is EF-2000 in his obinion better than J-10, he can start a new thread for it but remember this: All comparison threads must have the data and facts presented in which the members can make the comparisons, also it means that the thread starter must provide his own input as well, not simply asking questions. Failing to achive this will mean imidiate deletion of the thread.

But in this thread no more EF-2000s, please.

Re: *New J-10 Thread*

So get back to J-10 and the radar, do they have chosen the exact radar that they will include in serial aircraft or they are still evaluating ?

You should ask this question at least 6 years ago. It's a very boring question now.
oops, I forgot again, here's the second line: Yes they had made the desicion to use chinese radar. And they are working on the block 2 J10s now.

Re: *New J-10 Thread*

Sinodefence is a mainly a one man band, as far as I know. We have pointed out the fact long time ago that it needs quicker update. But, I know it's a very difficult job. So, at the end of the day, internet is a good place for information, but whether it's up to date or accurate is another matter. This is especially true regarding military issues, not just china related military issues.
