    Jian's vs F-22/F-35??

In the game Battlefield 2 in a J-10 I can take on a F-35 in a dogfight but the ranges of AAA missiles and etc are listen, basically the only ordinances used in the game are A) bombs, and B) heat seeking missiles.

the F-35 seems faster but I can out maneuver the bugger unless he cuts down his engine speed then I end up going right by and miss my WOO.

So I have to ask in first A) long range Anti Aircraft missiles fight can a J-11 take on with reasonable chance of success a F-22/35B? What are the differences/advantages of the two?

    AND PLEASE NO FLAMMING!

no, because J-11 has a huge RCS like all other flankers. It would have little chance of detecting F-22 before getting detected by J-11. Most likely, J-11 would be well within the NEZ of AMRAAM from F-22 before detecting F-22/F-35, so it would generally become dead meat. You can judge J-11's chance against F-22 using F-15C's performance against F-22. You have to remember that J-11 would have even larger RCS than F-15C, but a less capable radar/avionics.

So no chance in hell a J-11 can take on a F-22 unless its dog fighting? What about if the PLAAF hacked a satalleit (or used one of their own civilian one(s?)) and used it to detect a F-22 as it takes off from a carrier and withit helps guide SAM and AAA missiles towards the targets? Does this work or a pipe dream?

What are the chances of the PLAAF getting the blue prints for the Mig 1.42 which is the Russian F-22 equivilent?

Sorry, it is not going to work. No way could satallite tracks F22.

Well, there are talk about cooperative between Russia, India and China on Mig 1.42, but china seems to be reluctant to join. I guess it is that China own equivilent of F22 such as J10X or J13 are moving ahead of Mig 1.42. So they don't need to rely on Russia on 5th generation fighers, but they needs help from Russia for engines.

BtW if China could take out US GPS system, then US capability will cut more than in half. The effective of ground attack will be lower, and US will have hard time to win a war with China. Just my two cents.

The F-22 doesnt take off from carriers, the F-35 will. Also, our nuclear missiles dont use GPS for targeting so if China attacked our GPS system without provacation China would be a glass parking lot in under a half an hour. The J-10 would get destroyed by F-15,F-16, and F-18 super hornets with AESA radar,no way it could compete with the F-22. Just my 2 cents.

Wha!? Assuming that there is a limited war between the PRC and the USA then why wouldn't the Second Artillery knock out the GPS systems? Its a military target retallitating with nukes is... insane is the only word I can think of.

Using nukes on a 6th of the world's population for disabling 30,000,000$ of hardware is not something to go nuclear over. Besides China can send its ICBM's and millions of Americans will die.

Next, I believe the J-10/11 is meant to take on F-14-18's??

You misunderstood me. Without GPS uS will have hard time hitting her targets, all the cruise missiles and GPS guided bomb will not be effecitive as it use to be. Even if China attack US GPS, I doubt US will use Nuclear missiles. The J10/J11 could take on the F16, F15 and F18, but off course they are no match with the F22.

Don't take it seriously, I am only trying to say the Capability of satillete and its' important role in the conflict.

Don't make assumptions. I remember reading stuff about US possibly retaliating with nuclear strikes if China somehow manages to sink a carrier. Think about it this way, some generals were considering nuking Afghanistan to kill Bin Laden. If China actually knocks out GPS, it's hard to say how the Americans will react.

J-10 is built to take on F-14 - F-18. Flankers are also built to do that, but I generally have no faith in them. As for F-35/F-22, China will need to come up with stealth fighters of its own. Although, a huge emphasis has been put on anti-stealth technology in China recently. As long as the air battles are held near the coast of China (so near Chinese AWACS and land-based SAMs and early warning stations), China might have the chance to shoot down a few stealth fighters if the datalinking in China is as developed as I think it is.

The Americans would never have the nerve to nuke China or any other country. Neither would any other country use nukes. They are bluffing. Both the J-10 and J-11 can take on aircraft like the F-16, F-14, F-18, and F-15. There is still a possible chance these two fighters can take out a F-35 but a Raptor is out of their league. Perhaps the J-14 will be able to take on a Raptor.

If China do not have nuclear missiles that would be probably true, but since China could retaliating with nuclear strikes. I am kind of doubtful, US do make a lot of claims. But for the realistic US will not risk a full blown nuclear war with China, even if they could ruin China. US will pay a heavy price for it.
I know in the real world, you just never say never. But I see the chance for US to use nuclear missiles for retaliating are just very low, US do have many other options.

I just find the idea nuking China in responce to losing a carrier or a GPS sattaliet..... well it seems like poor sportsmanship, kinda like being a sore loser if anything.

Is there any info on the J-13/14?

Don't count the super bug out yet..

ITs new radar makes it very very dangerous.

Don't mistake a game for real life. Games are designed to be balance so no side has a definate advantage.

    Answering your question.
J-11 has no chance in BVR fight. It may never even know the F-22 is there. F-35, though is not as stealthy as the F-22, is very stealthy from the front.

In a dogfight, the F-22 still has the advantage with its higher roll rate, thrust vectoring, high thrust to weight ratio, and the AIM-9X. That is not factoring USAF's pilots greater training.

Is the Novator KS-172 AAM-L air to air missile manuverable enough to take down a F-22/F-35? It was developed to shoot down AWACS, martine partrol aircraft, tanker, etc.. If it is then China should get the missile from Russia. Some su-27 and su-35 in the CIS and Russia already have this missile. It has a speed of mach 4 and range of 400km.

Speed and manueverability does not help you in shooting down the F-22. To shoot it down, you must first detect it in radar, then track it, then pass the data to your radar illuminators. Since the F-22 is a stealth aircraft, detecting it at a range further than "right overhead" would be a very very huge problem. Tracking is harder still.
