Lots of people have depended on our capability, if you don't have it, you might be someone else's slave, I have no delusions about being perfect, but if you have an earthquake or a Tsunami, or you are a small nation, someone with a benevolent good will is a comfort. Kind of like sleeping with your hogleg under your pillow, you just sleep better! In my Humble Opinion

Not really, I never said perfect, but somebodys gonna have a gun and a boat, I'd soon it be somebody with good will rather than evil intentions! IMHO

Not about J-20, but related:
Department of Defense's official site post a news about a revoluationary new single-photon radar concept, claiming it could spot stealth fighter/bombers thousands of miles away from it.

Actually quite a bit my brother. Cheers Brat

While I have read some of the jungle books, Captains Courageous, is my pick, reminding me of my own indentured service as an Air Force Brat, and thank you Delft, you are a fine teacher and indeed a wealth of knowledge. Perhaps if our friend BHO is able to fleece our populace once again in November, you and I could overthrow the bros Castro and become benevolent dictators of that island paradise? You could run the Navy and I the Air Force, keep it in mind my friend.
Not necessarily.
In the article I cited, it seems that single-photon-detecting employed a completely different detection mechanism comparing to current radar.
So for them, stealth fighter may not be much harder to dectet comparing to a civil plane.
The same reason why painting camouflage may not be much helpful for you to avoid radar dectecting.
You are indeed quite right sir, and this current administrations inablility to command and control the presidents security detail, while laughable, together with "Fast and Furious", is illustrative of our current regimes contempt for our own constitution and the rule of law! My sincere apologies for speaking presumptiously, but please don't judge the American people who are by and large very gracious and kind! I highly value your point of view and your thoughtfull concern is matched by my own, as our scripture says blessed are the peacemakers. I assure you sir, that I will redouble my efforts to "put myself in your moccasins" as some of our native American forefathers reminded us. Kind regards, Brat.
Thanks for the interesting post, but the new radar still requires a lot of energy to make it work. With that in mind does the plane needs to be bigger to store all the necessary sources required? It could be done, but the technology to make it smaller and nimble enough to fit into a jet fighter of today's size are probably years away.
