Can't help with browser issues. Firefox works fine for me. I like firefox because it seems to be more stable and faster than internet explorer, though I've never tried google crome.
It's just a CG I guess, the guy who made it is not a military expert.
I've also seen the pic before, some said it was meant to represent navalized two engine J-10 variant (external loads).
That's not J-XX concept, I think it was J-10 "C" or nicknamed "Super-10", basically twin-engine version of J-10.
The interesting thing is that the original CG artist envision this "J-10C/Super-10" as a carrier based naval fighter as seen here with folding wings :
Edit:
On further thought, regarding the pic I post. - I can understood the J-XX's wing plane's maneuver;
But I can not understan the F-15's wingman's maneuver. In combat, the wingman stick behind like that? Even under fire? The F-15 leader has been engaged, shouldn't the wingman stay behind and engage the enemy attacker's ass, and thus cover the leader?
I know it is a concept art, but in real combat, CAN F-15 TEAM BEING AMBUSHED LIKE THAT? (when wingman do not have a good angle at the attacker)
It could be the F-15s are running out of fuel....and they are running their way back to base.
Since F-15 is land based fighter, if they are going to engage J-10 like that, they will be flying too far out of their base, and most likely outside of their normal range from Kadena Air Base in Okinawa. Not too sure about Kunsan Air Base in South Korea though - which could reach large part of China with F-15's 2000 km range / 1000 km combat radius.
Re: Is it a MUST for all warplanes to have the parachute?
I remember seeing, nearly 50 years ago, a F-104 with a tail hook, to be used on an air base of course, not on an aircraft carrier. And the Swedes equipped their Viggen with thrust reversers. The alternatives are an even longer runway and a runway with a grit overrun to stop your plane. You're always paying a price.
A bit of light hearted entertainment I drew/wrote up on paint in a half hour...
"Troll story of J-20/J-XX" -- basically a humorous and rather brief take on the development of J-20 and a few of the significant moods and milestones I felt waiting for this plane to come out.
Now that we're seeing relatively frequent flights with more on the horizon I think this is all good.
(This is just for fun and no one should take it too seriously. If the mods don't like the pictures or think they're too big or rude or something then I'll remove them no problem)
(EDIT: for picture two it should read "Early 2010"... sigh and I double checked everything before uploading too...)
(For people who don't know the acroynms... FML = f*** my life, and IKR = I know right)
