Wow, those guys have got some subtle humour ´China Air ForcR´...(Force with a latin R! Perhaps a cyrillic Я would have been even more cool!)

May be that's a hint for Y-20 Il-76 heritage??

Couldn't that production line pic be that of the Airbus fuselage?

That bugged me too. I don't think it is the official design.

No. The assembly line in China only does final integration. The manufacturing of the sub assemblies is still done in Europe.

Not meaning to burst anyone's bubble but this aircraft looks very similar to an USAF C-17.

That CGI design is consistent with the official pictures that have been shown (which also resembles the C-17 a bit), so that shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Wouldn't large transports look alike to a great extent? Aerodynamics imposes a lot of conformity (the Gripen, J-10, Lavi come to mind)

Great! If anyone has a link to those pictures please post it. Thanks!

That doesn't mean anything, the design of a transport plane is constrained by aerodynamics, weight, and capacity. There are only so many ways to configure an aircraft to suit those requirments.

Thanks! I must have missed that one.

This is the type aircraft the PLAAF really needs for logistical support.

Yes, but...will they be able to build it? After all china never developed a air transport before
